Finjan Holdings Soars 19% Pre-Bell
Finjian Holdings soared pre-market Tuesday after the technology company provided an update on a patent lawsuit filed against Sophos in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, noting that the court adopted all five of its claim terms on asserted patents.
“We are gratified to receive Judge Orrick’s claim construction order adopting Finjan’s construction on all five terms in dispute in this matter, as it demonstrates his time, attention, and appreciation of the merits of the patented technologies asserted against Sophos,” said Julie Mar-Spinola, Finjan’s vice president of legal operations.
Finjan Holdings noted it has also filed patent infringement lawsuits against FireEye (FEYE), BlueCoat, Proofpoint (PFPT), Symantec (SYMC) and Palo Alto Networks (PANW) relating to more than 20 patents in its patent portfolio. FNJN was up 19% at $3.05 in recent pre-market activity, moving within a 52-week range of $1.97 to $8.43.
